Football Teams Challenges in the Grassroots

The love of the beautiful game that is football spans across societies, classes, race and tribes. So much so that deep passion for the game is strongly prevalent in areas of less means.
In Kenya, football receives enormous support in the rural areas as well as middle and lower class city and town neighborhoods. The love is huge that virtually every village and city estate has a football team. Federation of Kenyan Football (FKF) has even provided structures for these teams clubs to rise through the ranks to the Premier League. However, the structure only goes as far as SubCounty League upto County League,Regional and National wide Leagues. Notably, these Grassroots teams and clubs up to the village level face daunting challenges in their quest to shine and do their communities proud. Key among challenges include:
1) Lack of transport means to attend away games
2) Financial constraints especially e.g. paying referees at the SubCounty to Regional levels which is on the higher side @kes 3000/game
3) Lack of club/team management from technical bench to coaches
4) Lack of field amenities such as nets, flags, and other kits
5) Football boots is a tall order for these teams
