Russia 2018 World Cup: Two European Neighbors lead to Secure their Semifinals Qualification by Knocking Out South American Heavyweights

France has seemingly led it’s neighbor Belgium to secure the coveted Semifinal ticket at the FIFA World Cup that only comes after every four years. France who are the 1998 World Cup champions by edging out favorites Brazil, have repeated their dominance over South American teams by this time denying Uruguay progress beyond the quarters. France triumphed with 2-0 over Uruguay.
To equal their neighbors achievements, Belgium who have so far been excellent and termed title favorites, were superb at their game with Five times Champions Brazil. As if following the lead by France, Belgium declared their intent of reaching the semis by opening the score sheet in the first half and making it double before the end of 45 minutes. Stunned Brazil were resilient but their goose seemed already cooked by save after save of their attempts at goal by the Belgium System. Nonetheless, the concerted effort bore fruits through second half’s substitute Augusto’s header. This was the much Brazil could do and the match ended 2-1 in favor of Belgium at the final whistle of standard time.
